| May 18, 19 Shakespeare Weekend
|
Mad Mechanicals perform Shakespeare with a twist. And like any good Shakespeare play, our village brims with characters. Meet: Edward Alleyn, a true Renaissance Man; Dinty the Moor, the most honest man in the shire; Fletcher Moone the Tavernkeeper, a raconteur with an exhaustive knowledge of Imperial weights and measures. Add a couple of Lepers, Sashenka the Contortionist, and Fox & Glove, itinerant swordsmen to the mix.

|
| May 25, 26 Pirate Invasion! Weekend |
Ahoy! The shire is awash in pirates and privateers! The Pyrates Royale, Surly Mermaids and Ship’s Company Crew provide musical accompaniment to the invasion. In honor of Memorial Day Weekend, we thank our active and reservist military personnel for their service by providing free admission this weekend to active and reserve service members with military-issue ID. Family and friends pay regular admission.

The Virginia Renaissance Faire seeks volunteers to assist with parking, ticket taking, gift shop sales and site maintenance.
Volunteers earn complimentary tickets, plus a t-shirt, and participation in cast/crew activities. We also could use help preparing the site for the season, weekends from April 18th to show opening, especially if you have any experience in basic carpentry, construction and related fields.
